From the founder
When I need a tool and nothing quite does the job, I write it from scratch instead of bending myself around someone else's idea of how it should work. The first one came out of wanting a character sheet that matched my table exactly, rather than one that almost did. Whatever comes next will start the same way.
Building for myself first has one useful side effect: every app has to survive my own daily use before it reaches anyone else. Whatever turns out to be annoying in practice gets fixed, because I am the one it annoys.
I use AI assistants for parts of the work: writing code, catching my own mistakes.
